POSITION SUMMARY

The Custodian will properly clean and maintain multiple departments to provide a safe work environment for all employees. They will vacuum, mop, scrub, and sweep all floors. Also, the Custodian will empty trash cans, clean windows, and disinfect all surfaces in order to ensure the buildings are prepared for customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. Properly cleans and maintains multiple departments to provide a safe work environment for all employees.

  2. Vacuums, mops, scrubs, and sweeps all floors.

  3. Empties trash cans, cleans windows, and disinfects all surfaces in order to ensure the buildings are prepared for customers.

  4. Thoroughly sanitizes all restroom facilities to ensure a clean and safe environment.

  5. Manages inventory of refrigerators, breakrooms, and restrooms by ordering more supplies and restocking as needed.

  6. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.

  • None

Skills:

Language:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s, including the ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

Math:

Computer:

  • Ability to learn how to run a computer terminal or PC.

  • No prior experience required (incumbents will look up and/or enter information into a pre-formatted screen).
